Agricultural Land Classification (ALC) surveys (from 27 October)

 We will be carrying out ALC surveys on site over the coming weeks, to help us understand and assess soil conditions and subsoil characteristics of the site. 

  You might see members of the team on the ground undertaking this survey in fields across the site area. All surveys are being undertaken by experienced soils specialists, in line with the methodology set out in Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (1988) Agricultural Land Classification for England and Wales: Revised Criteria for Grading the Quality of Agricultural Land (ALC011) and Natural England (2012) Agricultural Land Classification: Protecting the Best and Most Versatile Agricultural Land (TIN049).

  This work will take place during the daytime and are not expected to cause any disruption.
